You & Me and Sidewalk Canasta

Hi there!

Today, I'm sharing some more pages that I completed during the Paper Issues Spring Crop a couple weekends ago. I was pretty happy to have completed four layouts during that weekend. I managed to complete a couple more before the challenge deadline.  I'll share those next weekend.

The "You & Me" layout was for the Follow the Leader challenge.  Through Facebook Live, Annelie Maddock gave us instructions and measurements to create this page. It was a lot of fun! The design is a bit different than what I'm used to creating, but at the same time, it looks like my work.  Funny how that turns happens! It was nice to use a photo that wasn't from the Vegas album.

This page is for the Sketch challenge. These photos are of us in Vegas playing Canasta. I used some notepad paper for the title and journaling and I have an old deck of cards that I pick from just for scrapbooking.  Nothing fancy about this layout, but the photos just make me smile.

Most of the supplies for both pages are Crate Paper or Pink Paislee.  Both manufacturer lines coordinate so well together

So Adorkable

Hi there!

I'm up today with another layout I made during the Paper Issues Spring Crop.  The challenge for this layout was to use one of their free cut files.

Papers: Pink Paislee, Recollections; Embellishments: Crate Paper, American Crafts,
Pink Paislee, Thickers, Stickles, unknown gems, sequins

This cut file was fun to use.  Even if it did take me three tries to cut it.  My Silhouette just did NOT want to cooperate! And I kind of gilded the lily here by adding so many other embellishments to the wreath, but just love how it all came together.

Hop On Hop Off Double Decker Adventure

Hi there!

One of the things I miss the most is being able to attend scrapbooking crops. There is nothing like being in a room with like-minded people, sharing ideas, supplies and laughs.  So, on this rainy and grey weekend, I decided to join in an online crop over at Paper Issues

They are having a huge crop with 24 different challenges!  Here is my first submission to the challenges: Pocket Full of Posies.

I used a bunch of different supplies, but namely Shimelle products.  The double decker bus sticker is from her very first collection and I had been saving it for the these photos all these years.  Feels good to finally use it!

I've got two other layouts on the go and hopefully will get a couple more completed.  I am hoping to get this album finished before we head out on a new vacation in a couple weeks!  Argh!  The pressure!

Thanks for looking!

My first painting

Hi there!

I recently attended a painting class with my friends at Black Star Studios in Invermere, BC.  So much fun!! We had some wine, we had some gossip and we made some pretty art!

We had two similar paintings to use as a sample. It was funny to see how different the five of us interpreted our paintings.

And fitting with my personality, when I got home, I knew it was missing some flowers.  So, I put my mixed media supplies and training and added more flowers and the splatters. I was up until midnight playing away with the paint!

I just love it!  I am already inspired to combine what I learned in this class with another sample they had at the gallery. And we already booked another class for the end of April.  This time we will do pottery.  Oh boy!  I'm not sure I can afford ANOTHER hobby!
