But, it's been a bit crazy here the last month or so. I have been working on a couple assignments that I can't share, yet. And when I'm not working on that, I'm trying to get some work done for the the Canal Flats Arts Council Exhibit on November 26th. I was honoured to be invited to show some of my work there so I want to make sure I have everything in tip top shape to be displayed. Oh and in between the scrapping stuff, I have work, kids, laundry, hockey.... you know how it is.
Anyway, here is my completed album for Shimelle Laine's "Learn Something New Every Day" class that I participated in during the month of September. It was a fun course and I actually finished it in early October which is a record for me. (I tend to start these things but don't always finish. That'll just be our little secret.)
I made the album cover out of chipboard that I cut to match Ranger Craft Tags and I distress inked it. Then I used rub-ons and stickers to embellish it. I wanted to keep the album pretty simple since I don't always have time every day to scrap, so I pre-inked the tags (pages) and chose 7 Gypsies journaling blocks for every page. I also printed out the dates on a sheet of cardstock and punched them out with a Martha Stewart punch and used my Dymo labeller to make the titles.

Those are just some of my favourite pages from the album. I won't bore you with it all. I really enjoyed the process of making something every day. It kept my creativity flowing even if I didn't feel like creating. It got me thinking that maybe I should start an art journal!
