Cards for Sale!

I've been madly making cards the last few days in preparation for the Canal Flats Arts Society Exhibition that is happening on Saturday. For any locals reading this, it's at the Civic Centre from 10:00am to 4:00pm and admission is free. I'm very honoured to be included in this talented group of artists. Who knew we had so much talent in this town!

Since most of the artists are going to have a few works for sale, I thought I would sell some of my left over Christmas cards from previous years. But, then I started thinking some people might want a birthday card, so I made a few of those, too.

So, here they are:

This one's my favourite! It had all kinds of versions until I finally settled on this one.

Papers: Bazzill Basics, Echo Park and Crate Paper; Punches: Martha Stewart, Fiskars EK Success; Diecut: Making Memories; Sticker: My Mind's Eye; Stamp: Scraptivity/Gelatins;  Flowers:Prima Marketing; Miscellaneous: Rhinestones, Distres Inks, Glimmer Mists

Here's one that I scraplifted from myself. ;) I made a card similar to this for Julia a couple of years ago and it is sitting on my bulletin board. I've lifted this version before to give away and how funny that each time I make it, in the end they all look a little bit different.

Papers: Bazzill Basics, Bo Bunny; Die Cuts: K&Company, Cuttlebug, Tim Holtz; Stamp: Stampin Up!, Punch: EK Success; Miscellaneous: Rhinestones, Distress Inks, Ribbon.

And then I needed a really quick and simple one and came across this card from Kristina Werner. It was perfect for mass production!

Papers: Bazzill Basics, Crate Paper; Stamps: Scraptivity, Punch: Martha Stewart, McGill

Thanks for looking and if you're in the Canal Flats area, come check out the show!

A la Carte

I haven't really been scrapping much this week. I've been working on my Christmas cards, instead. I think they look lovely, but of course I can't show them here. My mom is reading this blog! ;) Once I send them out, I'll try to remember to post a photo. I don't usually take photos of my cards, but I really should do that so that I can remember what I've done. I don't stockpile any cards.... just make what I need (usually the night before I need to send it!)

Anyway, here are a couple of pages I did a few weeks ago. Again, I'm using some old stash, but I really like the papers for these pages. I cut the lanterns using my Cricut & SCAL and a file from Lettering Delights. I cut the shapes from chipboard and then from the patterned paper. They look very cool in real life.

Papers: 7Gypsies; Alpha Stickers: American Crafts Thickers, Pink Paislee; Label Sticker: My Mind's Eye; Miscellaneous Gems

To match the page above, I created this page. It's about how after we left the restaurant, Nick had us stop at the snack bar to eat two orders of hot dogs and fries. SCARY!!

Papers: 7Gypsies, Bazzill Basics; Alpha Stickers: Simple Stories, October Afternoon, Karen Russell, Tim Holtz, Basic Grey; Stickers & Diecuts: Crate Paper; Miscellaneous: Fiskars Punch, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Making Memories Brads

Thanks for looking!
