My Happy Place - Gate Diecut SOUS Challenge

Hello!

This week's Stuck On U Sketches challenge was to use a gate diecut. Well, I didn't use a gate, but I used a fence. And I'm going to call that close enough. ;)

Papers and embellishments: Teresa Collins; alpha stickers: American Crafts Thickers, Prima Marketing, Teresa Collins; Cricut Cart: Stamped; Cuttlebug embossing folder: woodgrain; White Signo Pen

 

 

I thought a wooden fence would be great for the subject of my layout. But, I couldn't find an SVG file nor did I have one on a Cricut cart. So I made my own with Cricut Design Studio and the Stamped cartridge. I welded the number sign (#) a couple of times in the Shorty creative key. I flipped a couple around so that it wasn't perfect; just like an old wooden fence. I cut it from kraft cardstock, then ran it through my Cuttlebug using a woodgrain embossing folder. I inked it with distress stain and voila! - a wooden fence. I fussy cut the drapery from some Teresa Collins diecuts which dressed it up a bit.

In the Pink - SOUS Borders Diecut Challenge

Hi there!

This week's diecut challenge from Stuck On U Sketches was to use borders. I have had this set of freebies from Creating Keepsakes Magazine forever! I'm not sure if they are still available on their website, but if you wanted to scraplift this page, any borders will do.

I wanted to scrapbook these photos of my friend and I at a scrapbook retreat we attended this spring. And you know I love that ombre effect, so this was the perfect challenge for that.

Doing a page like this is a great way to use up some old supplies. I spent some time going through anything pink in my stash. And I'm pretty happy to use up some older supplies like those Making Memories photo corners and glittered flowers.

A Wedding Card

Hello there!

Can you believe it? I am making a blog post that is not a design team assignment for Stuck on U Sketches.  I haven't done that in forever! Summer has been a busy time for us and the only scrapping I seem to get done is for assignments.  But, I had to create a card for a wedding we attended, so I thought I would take a photo and post it!

Papers: Neenah Cardstock, October Afternoon, Crate Paper; Chipboard: Simple Stories;

Miscellaneous: twine, button, Crate Paper sticker, glitter,

I admit it. I love "potty people". But I thought I would dress up these Simple Stories chipboard people and glitter them up for the wedding. I just peeled off the adhesive backing and sprinkled glitter over it. So, the people are really upside down but applying glitter this way is quick and easy. I would say mess free, but it's glitter. It was everywhere. LOL!

I cut the "Mr and Mrs" with SCAL/Cricut and the font is Blessed Day which I downloaded from Dafont.com. I LOVE this font and will be using it again, I am sure.
