I've been neglecting my blog again. But, there hasn't really been a lot of time to scrapbook, so I haven't really had much to post. This minor hockey parent has been BUSY! But, I did have some time to squeeze in a card and a simple page.
Here's a card I made for my BFF, Cattie. I did make a lovely card for her earlier in the month, but forgot to take a photo of it. Then I needed another card for her birthday party. I've been saving this clipart on my computer for just this occasion for months.
The flower is made from some coffee filters and the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die. After I cut the flower shapes from the filters, I spritz the petals with Glimmer Mist and made then layered all the pieces together. What really makes me happy about this flower is that I had to use red and yellow mist to create the orange. The coffee filters just soaked in the two colours and blended together so beautifully. Now, this might not be new for more experienced "misters", but when my experiment worked, I have to confess that I did a little jig in my scraproom. ;)
The crown is a piece of Tim Holtz grungeboard that I covered in mica glitter. Our group of friends is called "The Princesses", so the lady needed a blingy crown.

And here is a simple page I created in 10 to 15 minutes intervals. It took me a full week to do such a simple page! *sigh* And the photo isn't this dark in real life. It's grey and overcast here so it was difficult to take a photo of the page.
