For my first challenge on the Stuck On U Sketches blog, we had to use a die-cut of a toy. Well, since my kids are older and all my "toy" layouts were done years ago, it had me stumped for quite a while. But, then Nick came to my rescue when I asked him to prepare a Christmas list for me. Instead of presenting me with a real list, he gave me this silly one. And as with most 15 year old boy humour, it was totally inappropriate!
Papers: Echo Park, Crate Paper, Bo, Bunny, Bazzill Basics; Stickers: Echo Park, Fancy Pants; Die Cuts: Cricut (Indie Art, Fabulous Finds), Fancy Pants, Elle's Studio, My Mind's Eye; Stickers: Fancy Pants, Echo Park; Brads: Teresa Collins; Misc: Paperclips, Distress Ink
Some of my favourite "wants" were:
- Love
- a pair of socks that doesn't have maggoty holes
- a day my parents don't drink so I can see who they are without being drunk
- keys to the house so I don't have to sleep outside on nights you guys forget about me
- something besides bread and water for dinner for once
Oh how I long for the day when his wishlist was full of toys!
It's hard to see, but I raised the file tab with popdots and tucked his original list inside for safe keeping.
