Hello there!
This week's Stuck On U Sketches diecut challenge is to use a Snowman. I couldn't think of a cuter embellishment to use for this instagram photo of Julia wearing her favourite toque.
Papers: Crate Paper, SEI, Basic Grey, Bazzill Basics, unknown vellum; Diecuts: George and Type Candy Cricut Carts, Two Peas in a Bucket SVG; Embellishments: Crate Paper diecuts & washi tape, We R Memory Keepers floss, Studio Calico sequins, mist & date stamp, unknown paper clip; Fiskars Border punch
So, now we want to see what kind of snowman you can create with your diecutter. Be sure to upload your work to the SOUS blog. We'd love to see! Especially because we have exciting news!
Starting this month, SOUS will have monthly sponsors sharing blog candy prizes with you! All you need to do is join any challenge (sketch, die cut or project life) during the month to have your name put in for a chance to win! Winners will be announced the first Friday challenge of the following month. And I'm excited to announce that our first monthly sponsor is....
Thanks for looking!

Since I don't have a Christmas Cricut cartridge and I couldn't find a snowman SVG file I liked, I created one myself from the George cartridge and Design Studio. His body is made up from circles and ovals that have been stretched and skewed and the hat was made from a rectangle and triangle. I will confess that I cheated on the hat because I knew what shape I wanted for the top and couldn't find the right shape. So, I just welded the triangle over the small rectangle and then cut off the bottom point with my scissors. shhhhh. Don't tell anyone!
And I absolutely LOVE the handwritten SVG file from Two Peas in a bucket. I glued only the centres of the words and gently folded the edges up to give them a bit of dimension. I tried to match the J in the top embellishment cluster by using the Type Candy cartridge. It's close enough. :)
