Out and About

Hi there!

I have a quick blog post today, sharing a 12x12 page and pocket page spread from my Vegas album.  Well, it's sort of a pocket page.  This is the last set of photos that I wanted to use in pockets.  I knew the following layout would be a full page so, I scrapped my photos as if it would be a pocket page, but then adhered them to a 12x12 piece of cardstock.

There are no fancy techniques here, other than the fact that I used the backside of a very old single sided piece of patterned paper for the pocket style page.  Since you see so little of  the paper, I didn't want to waste a full piece of good cardstock. I was able to cover up the branding information on the page with a photo and no one would ever tell it's the backside. If anyone remembers Arctic Frog, this is the back of one of their papers.  ;)

I am trying to use up all of Shimelle's Go Now Go collection before I finish the album, since I'm itching to start the next travel album and this collection won't work. I don't have much left, so it's starting to be a challenge all on it's own.

Thanks for looking!

Fabulous

Hi there!

I'm up today with another entry in my Vegas Vacation album. I only have a few more pages in this album to finish. But, I'll still be scrapping vacation photos because my husband and I just came back from another vacation, last week. So, I have two vacation albums to do; one for a Cabo San Lucas trip and now to Cuba.

When the kids started getting older and left for college, I worried that I'd have nothing to scrapbook. But, it seems like I've found a new subject to scrap about: Me!!

When I first saw this scalloped paper from Crate Paper, I thought it begged for some stitching. It took a long time to do, but I just love the texture it gives the page. Pretty much everything here is from Crate Paper with a few items from Heidi Swapp thrown in.

I used to be an avid cross stitcher and I still have all the DMC floss, so I was able to go through my stash and find matching colours to the paper.  Another reason to never throw away craft supplies!

Thanks for looking!
