Pink Lady & T Bird - SOUS Nifty Fifties Diecut Challenge

Hey there!

Glad you could stop by!  This week's Stuck On U Sketches challenge was to use anything to do with the 50's. When it was announced to the design team, I have to admit I did a little happy dance in my scraproom. I knew that this month, my group of friends was going to do a "Grease" themed parade float for our annual community celebration. PERFECT!

I was able to do two layouts with the same theme. This first one will go in our family album:

Papers: Bazzill Basics, Prima, Simple Stories; Diecuts: Miss Kate Cuttables, American Crafts, Simple Stories, Echo Park, Two Peas In A Bucket, Chatterbox; Stickers: Simple Stories, Echo Park, American Crafts; Stamps: American Crafts, Hero Arts, Misc: American Crafts floss and flair, Mr Hueys mist, Tim Holtz paperclip, Queen & Co washi tape, typewriter

And this next page will go in my Canal Days Parade Album:

Papers: Bazzill Basics, Sandylion, Paper Patch, Amy Tangerine; Diecuts: Miss Kate Cuttables; Stickers: Sandylion, My Minds Eye, Pink Paislee; Miscellaneous: Studio Calico wood veneers, Fiskars punch and patterned scissors, My Huey's mist, Heidi Swapp rhinestones,

The Miss Kate Cuttable Happy Days set and the Rock Around the Clock set were perfect for my theme!  I had so much fun making all the little elements. And I was able to use some really old papers and stickers from Prima, Sandylion and Paper Patch for these pages. I love being able to use up old stash. Makes being a hoarder pay off. LOL!

Here are some close ups of the diecuts:
