Julia Enters the World of Cars - SOUS Diecut Challenge "Disney"

Hi there!

Can you believe summer is almost half over? I hope you have been making the best of the season.

This week's Stuck On U Sketches diecut challenge was to use anything to do with Disney. Now, I'll be honest and kind of freaked out when I saw that. We've never taken the kids to Disney and while my husband and I went to Disneyland for our honeymoon, those photos were scrapbooked long ago.

But, I kept the challenge in the back of my head for a while and then life threw me this perfect opportunity. My 17 year old, bought herself a car. :)

Papers: Simple Stories, Bazzill Basics, Unknown metallic papers; Diecuts & Stickers: Simple Stories; SVG files: KLDezigns, SVGCuts, Going Places Cricut Cart; Embellishments: Prima gems, My Mind's Eye brads; Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher; Stamps & Ink; Pink Paislee, Kaiser Craft, American Crafts, Stampin Up!

When I started looking for ideas on how to scrap car photos, I stumbled upon SVG files of the "Cars" movie on KLDezigns and I thought the logo would be perfect for the title. I chose to use the car diecut from the Going Places cartridge instead of a Cars character, just to keep it a bit more grown-up.

Be sure to stop by the Stuck On U Sketches blog and check out all the beautiful projects that they have come up with.

Thanks so much for looking!

  4. You are amazing...I always look forward, like a treat in my week, what you are going to do with our challenges. And to be honest, I think I do look so forward to it because you aren't such a themed
scrapper so I know that whatever you make is going to be a fully different take on the challenge...like this not being something really "Disney" but still with the Disney image used. It's SO cool!
You are for sure a diecut idol for me!

Hope you are having a wonderful Summer...our is wrapping up with school just around the corner, yikes!

    Hugs babe, Leah
