Today is Julia's Birthday - SOUS Diecut Challenge *You are Sweet*

Hi there!

This week's Stuck On U Sketches diecut challenge is to use "something sweet". And so I thought I would use that theme to scrapbook Julia's 17th Birthday, just three months shy of her 18th birthday! HA!

Papers: Fancy Pants, Echo Park, Simple Stories, My Minds Eye; Cricut Cartridge: Home Décor, Type Candy, Storybook; Embellishments: Fancy Pants, My Minds Eye, Studio Calico, Pebbles; Two Peas in a Bucket

These photos were taken during our vacation last year to Mexico and I'm slowly scrapping that album in photo pockets. There are so many photos from this night, the pockets are a great way to get them all in the album without making a bunch of pages.

In the journaling, I mention that Julia received a certificate from the Animation Team for her birthday. It was printed on an 8.5x11 piece of paper, so I scanned it and printed it out in 4x6 to fit in a pocket. Then I adhered the title block to the print with washi tape and made a little flip up card. So, the certificate is preserved, but it doesn't take up too much space on the page. I added a couple diecuts to highlight key parts of the certificate - like the incorrect date and incorrect spelling of her name. ;)

And here is a closeup of the cupcake title card.

Now it's your turn! Why not create a "sweet" diecut project and upload it to the SOUS blog. Your name will be entered into a random draw and the lucky winner will receive a great prize from our sponsor for February, Scraps of Darkness.

Thanks for looking!

Sylvie
