5x7 Photo Love :)

Back in 1999, when I was teaching beginner scrapbooking, one of the lines I used to convert the newbies was that by cropping photos into smaller shapes you could get more photos on a page, therefore saving storage space. HA! How far we've come!

We'll skip right over the fact that I cut my precious original wedding pictures into heart shapes, but I have so many pages with just one photo on a 12x12 page! And I love to scrap with just one 5x7 photo. In my mind, it can highlight a special shot or emphasize the story better than a bunch of similar photos, and it can stand up against a busy paper or lots of embellishments better than a 4x7 photo.

I had a couple 5x7's still left to scrap from our vacation, so I pulled them out this weekend and challenged myself to use up the many scraps that I have created making this album. I'm proud to say that not one full size piece of patterned paper was harmed in the making of these two pages. LOL!

I'm not sure I'm loving the flowers on this one, but it's done and it's going in the album..... or maybe I'll swap the large flower on top with a smaller one. Still mulling that one over. ;)

  1. Great pages, Sylvie.
Back in the day, I did not cut up my photos.
Only because my Mom and grandma had and it really made them hard to scrap with. Sometimes luck was on my side. At least now we can scan and reproduce photos easily!
